Not to sound insensitive about any type of cancer here, but these kind of trends really bother me. Breast cancer has the one of the highest funding rates, yet kills a smaller proportion comparatively to much deadlier, rarely funded types like colon, pancreatic or liver cancer.
Understanding that breast and prostate cancer are the most common does seem like we need to figure out why these things are happening or possibly attempt to find a cure, yet the forms that have the highest mortality rates have nothing compared to the campaigns and money thrown at them.
Honestly, where the hell does all this funding money go? The gene for breast cancer is already patented by a pharmaceutical company, and whomever finds anything close to a cure is going to be sued to shit.
Posting a status update about your bra color, or where you are going to move for however many months does literally nothing for the cause. Neither does a league full of overpaid athletes, with IQs comparable to gorillas, wearing pink shoes and gloves solve anything. If we really wanted to end these pandemics, we would get off our asses and vote in politicians who believe in the education of the sciences so advancements cancer research will be adequate enough to one day put an end to so much death.
Whatevs, girls have your fun on your Facebooks. Just remember the people who die of cancers we’ve never heard of because our culture needs to fix the tits and the penis before we tackle the real problems.
